The Enhanced Carpets & Flooring story started a long time ago (1994 to be precise!!) Brad started an apprenticeship with Cole and Dann Ltd who had a reputable contract with Knight and Lee’s of Southsea (John Lewis Partnership). There he learnt the trade of installing carpets and vinyls to the ‘high end’ of Domestic properties. It was a fantastic place to learn the trade as there were no short cuts to be taken and served his apprenticeship in the correct manner.
Whilst this was going on Steve, a friend of Brad’s from school was serving his apprenticeship in the same trade but on the Hard Flooring Contract side of the trade with Tudor Bros, the company were the sole contractors for the Portsmouth Dockyard.
A few years passed before the pair moved upwards to join forces with “Peter Charles Contract Interiors Ltd”. Here they worked as a team in a company of 16 installers. Both becoming Foremen and training apprentices in the same manner they had been trained.
They run Peter Charles Projects that consisted of, to name a few –
Hugo Boss, London.
Dolce and Gabbana, London.
4* & 5* Elite Hotels, Nationwide.
Adidas Stores, Europe.
Barclays Bank refurbs, Nationwide.
Plus many, many more.
In the year 2008 Brad and Steve, decided to travel Asia and Australia for 18 months, with the idea of starting a Flooring company in Melbourne.
Due to strict Visa laws and the Global Economy at the time (Great Recession of 2008), this adventure was not as a realistic target as they had hoped. The effort put in was repaid in knowledge and skills gained.
Upon returning in early 2010 the pair easily found work amidst the recession.
Peter Charles Ltd had unfortunetly ‘Gone Under” in the recession when the guys were away but had reformed as D & D Flooring Ltd.
So this is when Enhanced Floors Ltd happened. The director of D & D handed over his clients base (after retirement to the West Country) to Enhanced Carpet & Flooring.
Over a decade later….. the Enhanced Floors story has continued to grow, satisfying their long term clients and building relationships with the new.
